Armenia
The Naregatsi Arts Institute (NAI), is a foundation that works on cultural development through arts. Its work ranges from promoting artists with disabilities, to working with disadvantaged children. Through SmallWorld’s Funds in 2011, NAI successfully implemented twelve, year-long, arts classes for underprivileged children in Shushi, Artsakh, Armenia.
Bangladesh
Underprivileged Children’s Educational Programs (UCEP) was one of SmallWorld’s beneficiaries in 2011. The donation of SmallWorld was used for the socio-economic development of the working children through the UCEP programs. SmallWorld provided an opportunity to children for education and skills development training while working to support their families; the completion of the skills training provided employment support for the children.
India
Pratham Education Foundation In 2011, the elected NGO by SmallWorld was the Pratham Education Foundation which works with children aging between three and eleven. The NGO works on basic academic support in language, math, and English. The SmallWorld funds were pumped into the foundation’s budget in order to ensure a bigger reach to the neediest beneficiaries.
Indonesia
Sayap Ibu foundation is based on the principle that every child has the right of protection and care before, as well as after birth. As our 2011 partner, SmallWorld delivered funds which supported the much-needed building of housing, and the purchase of physiotherapy equipment for the organization.
Japan
The Japanese Red Cross. Half of the Funds from SmallWorld 2011 were donated to the Japanese Red Cross after the occurrence of the Tsunami which left behind thousands of orphans. “I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the generous donations through your annual fund-raising event; your compassionate and heartfelt assistance are deeply touching for us”, said the Japanese Red Cross president Mr. Tadateru Konoe.
Jordan
Hamzah Bin Abd Al Muttalib Association As an orphanage, the 2011 partner serves twenty girls aging between six and twelve. The much-needed funds received from SmallWorld were pumped into the budget of the association in order to secure food, clothes, education and medication for the whole twenty girls that the orphanage serves.
Korea
The Korea National Association of Welfare (KNACW) received donations from SmallWorld 2011. The Donation received from SmallWorld 2011 was used to serve one thousand six hundred children. The support varied from vocational training, medical expenses, and school tuition fees.
Malaysia
Make a Wish foundation is an international NGO aiming at making wishes come true for children with life-threatening diseases. In 2011, SmallWorld made the wishes of 4 Malaysian children come true.
Philippines
Through Bantay Bata 163, SmallWorld delivered scholarships to 4 underprivileged University students for 2 years; thus, we helped, through your kind support, in finishing their education and seeking a bright future. The subjects we aided are active in their community; they appreciate the help received and in turn, they are highly active civil society members who showcase great citizenship and support to less fortunate children.
Thailand
Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights Foundation (CPCR). With the Help of SmallWorld, CPCR was able to take care of one hundred and thirty cases of child abuse and neglect. These Children have had serious problems both physically and mentally. The grant was mainly used to guarantee security and healthcare for the beneficiaries.
Foundation for Child Development. In 2013, funds were delivered to the Foundation for Child Development for the support of 14 Migrant Children in the province of Samutprakarn. The support came in the form of formal education, psycho-social support, and food items. The 14 children received the support of social workers through home/family visits as well as one on one counseling sessions in order to overcome distress. The support was not only moral, as the children also received food and non-food items from beds, to clothes, hygiene kits, copybooks, books, and more.
